I was able to work on the truck a little yesterday and Kylie helped. How many 11 year girls do you know that think it's fun to clean up rat poop and snails? That's my girl!

I wouldn't want to do it let a loan a 11yr old girl haha. But nice can't wait to see this thing finished it will be cool.

I worked on it for about 6 hours today. I finished polishing the dash and started on the instrument cluster. Here's the dash when I started today. And after. Today I got two helpers, well at least for 15 minutes then Mya was gone. Kylie helped for about an hour today. At least I pay well. Here's the before of what Mya did. And after. Here are the before and partial after of the instrument cluster. Before. After. And then just some miscellaneous pictures from today. |
Sweet. Looks like fun. That's gonna be an awesome F100.

Gas tank behind the seat, awesome idea back in the day :uh:

It also has two auxiliary tanks in the bed just in front of each wheel well. I'm not going to use the in cab tank but I'm going to keep the two bed tanks to use. The main tank is going to be mounted under the bed in the back. I've read that a 70's Mustang tank fits there but haven't looked into yet. I'm going to build a speaker box in the area where the in cab tank was with a couple 10's and maybe some storage.

It had three separate gas tanks? Was it used on bombing missions? |

Another cool thing is that while cleaning it out we found the original service policy from the day he purchased it which was 1/17/64 in Glendale, CA along with the original operators manual. The ink on the service policy is too faded for me to read what the dealership name was though. |
I finished up the instrument cluster tonight.
Here are the screws that hold the speedometer to the bezel. All four looked like the one on the right and the one on the left is after polishing. |
Looking good Ron!
