Shaolin Crane 06-26-2012 10:50 AM

Every photo i post is from my camera phone

Vettezuki 06-26-2012 10:53 AM

Guy, I think he means not necessarily of car stuff, but of interesting sightings yo.For example,

Ron, where is that?

Shaolin Crane 06-26-2012 11:03 AM

I got it, i was being a smartass.

94cobra69ss396 06-26-2012 11:04 AM

Exactly. I meant more artsy type photos.

We hiked up the Icehouse Canyon trail in the Cucamonga Wilderness.

How hard is the hike? Could it be done holding my 30 pound 2 year old daughter for the majority of the hike? I'm tired of the CLAREMONT LOOP :(.

94cobra69ss396 06-26-2012 09:10 PM

That depends on you. My brother's family went with us so we had a 13, 11, 8, 7 and a 4 year old with us. The 4 year old hiked on her own.

Vettezuki 06-27-2012 02:02 AM

The 4 year old did the whole >7 mile trail up and down? Crikey.

94cobra69ss396 06-27-2012 08:59 AM

No, we only hiked up 1.6 miles to the Cucamonga Wilderness. But she did hike the total 3.2 miles.

These are just a few of my "Today's view from the office window" that I post regularly on my BaseFook.

94cobra69ss396 06-28-2012 08:21 AM

That treehouse is awesome!

Small White Car 06-28-2012 09:18 AM

Yes it is. Somewhere in Sherman Oaks, off of Coldwater or Laurel Canyon, between Moorpark and the 101.

Lucky kids there, hope they appreciate it.

You from Washington? Or were you just flying over?

Shaolin Crane 06-29-2012 09:50 PM

Ray is our international man of mystery business tycoon. He was probably parachuting on his way to look for his next car.

Thanks! I was allowed to make one and only one by the Niece and Nephew so that was it

Shaolin Crane 06-30-2012 09:10 AM

Why was the pj crap?

Saleen cheaped out on parts for most of his builds, just bad quality you should look at the new stuff they aren't even trying to hide it any more. fit and finish is terrible.
but in my case it was suck up a qrt. of oil every 500 miles and it had rod knocks and random missfires and rebuild cost for that motor was $10,000. so it was time to go.

Shaolin Crane 06-30-2012 12:48 PM

Odd, interior being subpar is just a mustang thing. The engine thing is weird, usually the PJ mustang run hard. And i'm not sure who quoted you 10k for a rebuild on a 3v, Pacific Engine charges $1200...

actually the inter. was fine but check out the body panels on some of the new stuff . As for the engine PJ stroker 302's were very different from a stock 4.6. I looked into rebuilding it myself but it was getting close to that price in parts so thats when I said it's time to go

Shaolin Crane 07-01-2012 02:55 AM

Still dont see how it would be even remotely close to that. A 5.1l stroker doesnt even cost that kind of coin.

94cobra69ss396 07-08-2012 09:19 PM

Here are some from our vacation last week.

Vettezuki 12-20-2012 09:05 PM

Awesome pics!

I put this Derailers. Should have put them here.

Some pics from my recent trip to the home islands.

The ice ball in this Shochu is hand carved each day. It has no bubbles of any kind. The picture doesn't capture it, but it creates a kind of subtle and beautiful light effect.

Simply the best Soba I've ever had, by a mile.

Soba Shochu.

A kind of Soba miso paste. Awesome!

A little video from the Shinkansen. Next time I'll get some video as they go through the station which is much cooler. Click through and go to YT for full screen if you want.

Shaolin Crane 12-20-2012 10:22 PM

They didn't get lost, they were ignored because of how jelly I am. Might be time for a trip.

Vettezuki 12-21-2012 12:55 AM

Get outside of your head man. :)

Shaolin Crane 12-21-2012 08:44 AM

I'm seriously quite jealous. Every time I have money saved for a trip I use it for something sensible. My buddy Ken and I were supposed to go stay with his family for about a month when I was 18 and I ended spending the money on something else.

Vettezuki 12-21-2012 03:38 PM

I don't know about right now, but Japan recently had FREE flights to/from Japan for tourists. They were trying to raise domestic money from tourism to help with the Tsunami relief. I love Japan, it's a trip. Some Westernish looking stuff, but mostly quite different. Among my favorite things is simply that the Japanese are, bar none on this planet that I'm aware of, the best service oriented people around. Everything is polite, professional, and competent. Everyone cares about their job and takes it seriously, janitor, taxi driver, CEO, whatever.

Shaolin Crane 12-21-2012 11:06 PM

Shit, I wish I would have known. I would have been all over that.

mustangray 12-21-2012 11:18 PM

me too!

Vettezuki 12-22-2012 10:39 AM

Great little place in Cerritos. Legit.

Vettezuki 12-22-2012 04:51 PM

Saw this carving today at a piano store where we were help a student pick out a piano. I just thought it was cool.

Shaolin Crane 12-22-2012 05:59 PM

Just 3, I was too busy eating to take a pic of every plate for the 3 hours I was there.
