Tax Return Bliss for Yazmine!

Well, thanks the accident in December Yazmine has gotten a New front bumper and now thanks to Taxes she will be getting new MM RLCA. I may even splurge and go for more rear grip and add the MM Panhard Bar.

If I remember correctly Ron said that the Panhard bar helped out a lot on his car.

Ordered the MM Rear Grip Package today! Their mounts for the Panhard Bar to the rear are on back order so they estimate it will ship on 2/10 so by the March cruise I should have it on the Mach.

Cool. I'm curious to to get your feedback on how it works out.

pff... I'm using half of my taxes to pay off/fight 2 tickets...one I'm pretty confident I'll win the other...not so much...only need to win one though to not get a point :)

Leedom 02-09-2011 09:31 PM

Look what was delivered today!! Might give Sean a call and see if he wants to help me put the RLCAs on and then I will set-up a time to go out to Ron's and complete the Panhard bar since he has experience with it. Saved $40 on the RCLAs because of this MINOR blemish and one even more Minor blemish on the other one. Worth it to me.

I will help you out, i mean i might have a few MM products on the car ;) Bring it down to the shop and we'll get it set up :D

It will be easier to install the control arms the same time as the PHB. Since you'll be unbolting and moving shit around to make room to drill the holes, any chance that you have some shocks you want to install to?

Leedom 02-10-2011 01:14 PM

Thanks Guy. I will be calling you and we can set_up a time when I can come by. I was thinking about shocks too but that was out of the budget. It was either new shocks all around or the rear grip package and I felt the rear grip package would make a bigger difference.

Shaolin Crane 02-10-2011 03:54 PM

Definitely makes a larger difference, Just makes it a whole lot simpler to install since i'll be unbolting the shocks and what not to install the panhard. So it would be zero extra effort to install shocks.

These were the first set of shocks i ran, priced nicely and were awesome

That would be 450 well spent dollars. I say you stop being a tight ass and get the shocks.

Here you go Adam, same set of shocks on Corner Carvers for $125 Shipped
http://www.corner-carvers.com/forums...ad.php?t=44596

Those were what I was looking at and considering buying after your comment but fate had different ideas. Blown right rear tire again. About a 3 inch slash in the tire tread. Not sure what I ran over. There goes the $225 for shocks!

Tried to check out the link but I had to register and it said that the administrator has disabled that. When are you available to install the stuff (weekends)? If we do it at the shop will I be able to help?

Shaolin Crane 02-11-2011 07:46 AM

Yeah, this weekend is out though, i have work to do on a Z06.
Next weekend should be ok, you're welcome to help, I looked through my tool box but my 5/8 drill bit is missing, so all i ask is to buy me another one to make sure things go smoothly, they're cheap. Its called a Silver Deming Bit, needs to be 5/8's if i can find it i'll let you know but i fuggin looked everywhere for it.

Bilstein HD shocks, BE5-6418-H4. These have been grooved by MM to run their coilover kit and have been used the past several years with 250# CO springs. You will need new upper and lower bushings, which are available from MM. They do include new dust covers. Nicks and scratches but overall good condition with no signs of leaks or other defects.

$125 shipped for the pair

Struts are HD's, V36-4138-H5. These do not have the updated mounting ears. These have been used with a 325# CO setup for the past several years. Nicks and scratches but overall good condition with no signs of leaks or other defects

$225 shipped for the pair

Make a package deal for both the shocks and struts - $335 shipped for all.
