Last Motorgen Cruise for the Year. GMR on December 11th!!

Last cruise of the year for us. December 11th, GMR!

Always a good time:)

The meet point will be at a Kohl's in Upland with a very large parking lot. The address for Kohl's is:

1923 N Campus Ave
Upland, CA 91784

This puts us only about 5 miles or so from the beginning of the run. The total distance for the entire cruise is 43.3 miles. It should last about an hour and a half total. Once we finish the run the meeting point will be at a restaurant called La Tolteca (EXCELLENT Mexican food with a large parking lot and plenty of room for all of us inside). The restaurant is less than 5 miles from the end of the run, so again it should be a lot easier to keep together. The address for La Tolteca is:

429 N Azusa Ave
Azusa, CA 91702

I am going to shoot for a meet time at the Kohl's in Upland at 2:45p.m. We will leave the lot at 3:30p.m. With any luck, we should arrive for dinner between 5 and 5:30p.m.

Here is the route we are taking.
I have gone through and cleaned it up by hand (don't trust google maps completely) and it should be simple. I will have directions for everyone at the Kohl's and will hand them out before we leave. The drive is a lot of fun and the views are pretty incredible. See you all the 11th!!!

Vettezuki 11-24-2010 01:27 AM

I'll be there. Love this run. I gots me new injectors int he Vette, but I'm not %100 sure that solved my problem and oh yeah, I have $0 for retuning, so I might want to hitch a ride with somebody or I can follow in the Jeep again. Yee ha!

I’m going to try to make a different kind of video this time; sort of like your flybys. I’ll be doing the run but at a much slower rate. As always, if you need a ride...

jedhead 11-25-2010 01:07 AM

I won't be able to make it. I am taking photos for a reception starting at 5pm in Garden Grove. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

Was just up there a few days ago. GMR is always a blast. Just gtta be careful, the fog makes some areas a bit wet. Car was loving the 44 degree air though!

Ryridesmotox 11-26-2010 12:45 AM

I'm there. The balt is put back together will all her bolt ons and tuned up nicely... Should be able to keep up too haha.

Spots 11-26-2010 06:44 PM

I'll be there, custom axle back is in, catless uppipe and downpipe will be in this coming weekend, and 270 whp tune is in. The WRX is gonna be a fun ride this time

Ryridesmotox 11-27-2010 09:01 PM

Ahh a WRX... Nice, maybe we can do a highway pull or 2 after the canyon run?

Yeah I'm down, but I'll tell you right now, from my stand point, my ncar is nothing fast. I stepped out of a mid-12 second duramax into this thing stock, and even now with the tune and stuff it doesn't feel anywhere near as stout as that Dmax was, especially on the bottle. But yeah I'm down to do some 50 to 100 pulls with ya for shits and giggles. BTW do my research like I always do, the mods you have done indicate a car in the 13.0-13.5 range. I can tell you right now, your gonna be disappointed running me, I have about as mild a WRX as you'll ever find. Give me time to get her built, and then we will talk lol

DarkestSpade 11-28-2010 12:08 PM

I will be there.. crossing my fingers surviving gmr again.

Redondo Jon 11-28-2010 01:28 PM

Ooh...you’ll be fine

sinaSRT-4 11-28-2010 05:28 PM

Finallly, I can make a Motorgen event again. See you all there in a few days.

Let me know if you want to do some testing as i can be of assistance. I've always wondered how i would hold up to an SS/TC.

Yea well its up to you dude. Yea I'm hoping for like 320hp and 350lbs/torque at the wheels but we shall see. I'm also hoping for a mid to high 12 sec. 1/4 time. When I was in AZ a few months back a guy with the same stuff I have ran a 13.2 on a badly prepped track with street tires with a trap of like 115mph. I'm still datalogging for the HP tune right now. It's getting fine tuned by one of the best LNF tuners in the country. I should be at about 25psi spike with it holding at 24 psi in 3rd through 5th gears. I have some huge traction issues in 2nd and the beginning of 3rd haha. A dig would be more advantageous for you if you would rather do that I don't mind.

Yea I'm down. I haven't really gone up against many SRT-4s. I'll race anyone, win or lose its still an adrenaline rush and pretty damn fun.

EDIT: haha my bad I messed up the MPH trap speed meant to put 115mph instead of 155mph I fixed it now. Sorry guys wasn't trying to make my $20,000 balt sound like the space shuttle.

Well thats what the twisties are for... Limit my time on the throttle. I need a good suspension set up like you have. You will murder me in the canyons... I probably won't even hook up if I mash the throttle. I'm getting wheel spin in second from 40 to almost 60 mph and the shift into 3rd it will break loose a little too.

I lol-ed at that cat too... freaking hilarious.

:-o, Those are some very good numbers indeed for a stock turbo cobalt with very few bolt-ons. Car s

Ryridesmotox 12-05-2010 12:49 AM

Yea but your suspension will keep you ahead of me in the corners... I have some major traction issues I need to address now.

Looking forward to next week guy/gals. Just wanted to mention that since Im 5min form Mt Baldy/GMR I often go there even duing the week for fun.
