Mitsubishi Owners Day 2009
Today I went to Mitsubishi Owners Day 2009 at the Mitsubishi headquarters in Cypress. It was my first real import show and I didn't know exactly what to expect. I have to say though that I came away very impressed. The show was very well organized and everyone driving in the parking lots and in the immediate area of the show were behaving themselves (it was nice to not see anyone doing any stupid burnouts or anything). When I got to the show they gave me a free goody bags with all kinds of nice stuff in it. Everyone who attended also got a free lunch from In-n-Out.
Once we got in the show I think I saw more Evo's than I've ever seen in my life. They ranged from basically stock to 700+hp monsters. There were also a variety of other Mitsu's including 3000GT's, Starion's, Eclipse's, and of course the awesome Galant VR4's. All in all I have to give Mitsubishi a ton credit for putting on one hell of a show - I just hope it isn't quite as hot next year :suicide: Here are some pictures: It's hard to see but this particular 3000GT has over 600AWHP :surrender: |

Cool. Was this put on by Mitsu?

Were there any other DSMs there, like the Stealth or Talon, or was it all Mitsu?

Yeah I did talk to him afterwards with the rest of the HPDE group. He was cool.

Yes, he was in the Castrol challenge. The car is sweet. Last year he was the NASA TT-A National Champion.

I was at MOD with my POS 02 Eclipse. I actually won a set of 5Zigen lug nuts (which are super light and $150), a free K&N oil filter (I use them on the Goat anyways), and some other crap. They kinda sucked this year though, they were way better 2 years ago.

The raffle sucked for one, unless you have an Evo, even the chances of winning something is pretty slim. And the first year I went, Mitsubishi gave a ton of stuff away. They didnt unveil anything this year. Last year was the RA-1, year before was the Concept Evo. You could definetely see they got less funding this year.
