OBDII CARB compliant cat?
I was looking at getting a 3" OBDII cat. I was reading the description and I noticed this one is OBDII but it excludes CA.
Would you fail someone for having something like this? ...I hope you are the smog tech guy. Haha. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tchlink:top:en |
And what would I/ you look for to make sure it's CA legal?

I know a guy that won't even look. As long as it has cats and passes the sniffer you're good.

In CA you cant go with any cat that isnt stock to that car....Thats why long tubes are a no go for CA

LTs are illegal even if you get the OE cats on them (fabbing). As I recall it's primarily because of the resulting "relocation" of smog equipment: cats and O2 sensors. kdracer will know the details or if I'm total full of shi*. |
I wonder if I can cut the stock 2 1/2" cat in half and weld the shell around a high flow 3" one.
Sean, does your guy charge more? |
