Mitsubishi Owners Day 2009

Today I went to Mitsubishi Owners Day 2009 at the Mitsubishi headquarters in Cypress. It was my first real import show and I didn't know exactly what to expect. I have to say though that I came away very impressed. The show was very well organized and everyone driving in the parking lots and in the immediate area of the show were behaving themselves (it was nice to not see anyone doing any stupid burnouts or anything). When I got to the show they gave me a free goody bags with all kinds of nice stuff in it. Everyone who attended also got a free lunch from In-n-Out.

Once we got in the show I think I saw more Evo's than I've ever seen in my life. They ranged from basically stock to 700+hp monsters. There were also a variety of other Mitsu's including 3000GT's, Starion's, Eclipse's, and of course the awesome Galant VR4's. All in all I have to give Mitsubishi a ton credit for putting on one hell of a show - I just hope it isn't quite as hot next year :suicide:

Here are some pictures:

It's hard to see but this particular 3000GT has over 600AWHP :surrender:

Yes, and they really did an excellent job organizing. It's probably the best show of this nature I've been to. Super Chevy is alright but it's really expensive to get into, and then the food is very expensive on top of it. Fabulous Fords is probably the closest thing organizationally, but even that isn't quite as organized as this was. This show was free, well run, and you get free In-n-out. It doesn't get much better than that

Were there any other DSMs there, like the Stealth or Talon, or was it all Mitsu?

This is Ryan Gates car. Did you happen to see him or talk to him? His car is badass on a roadcourse.

No, he was kind of mobbed in his booth. The car was pretty damn impressive though.

That's because it is gutted and has carbon fiber doors, hood, front fenders, trunk and roof.
