Super Car Sunday

As I'm sure most of you gear heads are aware, every Sunday in Woodland Hills at the Westfield Topanga Plaza is Super Car Sunday and on the last Sunday of the month they have 'marque days' and this Sunday is 'Shelby, Cobra, Ford GT' but there is always a bunch of neat stuff including your car!

It's free to attend, free to show your car and free to head for the mountains and the beach afterwards. Well, price of gas anyway.

If anyone would like to attend the show and go waste hydrocarbons afterwards, the gathering begins at 6am and lasts until about 10:30-11:00 am at which point I...

Head up Topanga to Mulholland Drive and turn right to Mulholland Highway and then I turn left. After awhile of some 55mph two lane you come to Stunt Road on your left. Run that on up to Saddle Peak and go left, watch out for the bikes in the turn out, they like it up here too. Saddle Peak was oiled and graveled about a month and a half ago and some has even been repaved but there is always some gravel so watch your following distance. Once you come to Tuna Canyon you make a right turn and zip down a narrow residential street until you see this...

Which brings you to Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, make a right turn and truck on down to Los Flores Canyon and turn right up into some more hilly little roads like Rambla Pacifica, Piuma, Malibu Canyon and on over to the bottom of The Snake and up past The Rock Store where you can be immortalized in a digital way for about $25

OR!

If you want to cruise on down P.C.H. past Pepperdine we can go on to Latigo Canyon which runs you up to Kanan Road and then to Mulholland and the top of The Snake where occasionally shit like this happens...

You should see the rest of these pics...

Last month I saw this thing.

But I digress...

Sunday is short notice I know but I'm going anyway and thought some may want to come along for the show and the drive. I usually leave Whittier around 6:15am and run the 605-5-101 if anyone wants to go from my neck of the woods let me know.

Looks cool but I am going to a Subaru event on Sunday

Small White Car 06-25-2011 11:31 PM

That's cool, I aint gonna make it either due to some unforeseen circumstances but if anyone would like to save this hard work of mine and change the marques/dates up to fit whichever month it happens to be as I usually make this trip every month, perhaps we could all make it some other time...

I think we inadvertently met at the tail end of one of these meets on our Malibu run. The Lotus was up there. Next time we do that run maybe we can schedule it to coincide with this show and meet at the show, then roll.

You were oh so close to getting chewed for crossing the double yellow!

And then I saw the bicycles... Nice job on the vid.

I saw that last week was the Shelby Cobra day but is this thread for next week as well?

Small White Car 06-28-2011 08:08 PM

Only the last Sunday of the month is the marque days however the meet is every Sunday.

I only go on the last Sunday since I'm 50 miles away to begin with.
