Dubstep blows monkey balls

Well, music is a purely subjective experience, so there are no grounds for objective ordinal ranking. I love it in smallish doses but I think it's also for the reasons he implies. My life is in the musical world, so I've had vast exposure to all kinds of things for decades now. It's the brain's decoding of objective phenomena (fluctations in sound pressure) into information that is correlated in the audio cortex to memory that's so fascinating. IOW, my experience of it is literally incomparable to yours. It's why the arts are so fun! (And why arguing about them is at best difficult to do in any sensible way.)

I'm gonna go bang on some pots and pans then while slapping myself on the neck. Someone should enjoy it right?

j/k. You're absolutely right though. It is shit. To you. There's nothing to argue about really.

It's funny. People get religious about musical preferences and it's just as devoid of any meaning. And like religion, often the less people actually know, the stronger their opinions.
