I was trying to wean my gf off of them for a while, and this did the job. She was at 8 a day when I met her less than a year ago, she quit before 2012 with this.

It's heated water vapor with nicotine in it, so it kills the urge and it looks and feels like you're smoking. You can get max strength nicotine, etc. Or smoke or menthol flavored.
