I would use AutoTrader, CarMax, etc. to do your own "comps" and see approximately where the market is at for the area you intend to sell in. If 10% less is still higher than what you could get for your Jet Skiis, it's probably a worth considering. HOWEVER, don't forget the new People's Republic of California Registration fees you would have to pay on the car before turning around to sell it. Or you could have him sign it over, but you don't ever take full legal ownership, almost like you're selling by proxy. I applaud anything that legally keeps money away from the government.
