I go about 10-13k before an oil change, ive changed the oil at 3k and at 10k and there isnt much of a noticeable difference, diesel oil always looks like whats comes out of the tail pipe, remember, its no different than a gas oil, looks for shiny stuff, if its not there, you're okay.
