Default Help

Looking for to a ratio calculator (on-line) for horsepower by transmission gear ratios? I am trying to find the difference in performance between 3rd gear and 4th gear by ratio difference, i.e. 3rd gear at 1.56 and 4th gear at 1:0, to calculate horsepower and torque. So, the question being; if a dyno run rated a vehicle at 100 rwhp in 3rd gear then what would a 1.56 relate to 1:0 to 1:0 by loss or gain? By guide what would the book calculation be in at 100 rwhp be in 4th gear as relative 3rd gear rwhp, during a dyno run based on the same 100 rwhp. Is that clear as mud?

Kinda like this web-site link.

I'm not sure what horsepower would do but torque will go down. I'll have to talk to GTR and see if maybe they will do a test on a car for me and see what it does.
