I agree, it's not that easy. Aaron (03SonicSVT) was suggesting Ortega highway, but then told me how he thought more people die on Ortega than almost any other road in the US Also, how long is too long is one question. I'm thinking maybe somewhere in the 100mile roundtrip range might be good.

This first cruise we did up to Angeles Crest and back was a solid 160 miles, and the people who came seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. I'm all for making things as accessible as possible, but 100 miles round trip from the OC cuts yours options WAY down. I'll take a look at some lesser known roads in Corona/Riverside and see if I can't string something together. I wouldn't want to do Ortega becuase really requires your complete attention, whereas I was thinking this could be a bit more for enjoying nighttime scenery.

Default moonlite run

There is no Denny,s at 15fwy and hwy 76. Just a gas station and a Taco stand I think. Unless it is new. We could hit the Pala Casino, maybe they have a midnite buffet? Closest food would be back at Temecula or heading into Oceanside on hwy 76.
Ortega hwy is not a option .
Caltrans has begun construction on a 3 mile section of Ortega Highway. Construction will continue until 2010. For more details tune your radio to AM 620 (Corona) and AM 1620 in San Juan Capistrano to hear the Caltrans announcement. The highway is OPEN during the day, and will close nightly from 8:30pm to 4:30am.

Expect delays throughout the day as east and westbound traffic will be sharing a lane. Check out the Commuter pages for other related news, live traffic cameras on the 91 freeway.

I'm not sure of exactly where the Dennys is, but I know there is one, I've passed out under one of their tables once . . . a long time ago.

[EDIT]
Okay, you made me go look it up, it's at:
28915 RANCHO CALIFORNIA RD.
TEMECULA,CA 92591 US

Which is actually before the 79 heading South, that is we'd pass it on our way to branching off on the 79. This means it's probably a good B and C location, where we could meet with the Southern guys before heading out on the actual cool part and end up at afterwards. What say yuse guys?

Okay, THIS is about the shortest route I can conceive that would still be fairly interesting. Vote if you prefer this shorter or longer route.

I read up on it on tech, and it sounded like they might give it another shot or move it. I'll have to PM Dave later and check it out.

Were people not buying anything from Mickey Ds. I always bought a Chicken Sandwich or something and set the bag on top of the car. If most people did that, I guarantee they won't bother us.

That would probably work. Dave posted up that he really doesn't have time to run it anymore, so I've volunteered to do it. I'll wait until I hear back from him and then will go from there.
