Why do you think the driveshaft will pick up 2 tenths?

Because of rotating mass reduction....? Idk but AM claims it so I'm sure that is where others obtain their info

24 lbs lighter

I can't see it picking up that much. Nordy, you need to test it by itself. Make a pass with the stock driveshaft and then swap it out for the new one and make another pass.

Doubt it will make even a tenth of a difference, thats ricer math right there. Maybe that with an aluminum flywheel youd see a tenth.

Well nordy. There's your h/w. Measure before and after with just the d/s difference. Sadly I'm going to have to agree. I don't see .2 coming from a 24lb lighter d/s. But I'd be happily proven wrong.

It's not just the weight. It's also the sloppiness of the 2 piece driveshaft. Still not sure of .2 difference.

I believe NHRA has changed its rules on cages for newer cars. Not sure of the cut-off now, but I think it depends on whether they consider your car "stock" or not.

HP numbers are good and all, but they are like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make if I can still kick your ass?

My buddy Kevin before he died was running his auto 07 GT to an 8.41 at irwindale. His only mod was the driveshaft. These were identical times to Vanessa's car that had intake, headers, exhaust and a tune. He died before he had a chance to install everything but i would have bet that he could have broke 7's
