Default Nutrient Timing

If I can fix my galdurn knee, I'm thinking to get a little more intense into Triathlon next year. So I was watching this neat documentary with a segment on Lokelani McMicahel, purely scientific you understand, and her uncle whose a sports nutritionist mentioned the evolving science of nutrient timing. I got a little bit of this during my trianing last summer, and holy crikey it makes a difference. I haven't read it yet, but this looks pretty darn interesting.

Nutrient Timing: The Future of Sports NutritionNutrient Timing: The Future of Sports Nutrition
The short version is this. Your body has windows of time before during and after workouts where it will optimally absorb and utilize nutrients. Anyone whose done an endurance event and pushed without paying attention knows what a bonk feels like. That's easy. But getting the right amount of carbs, protein, etc., for your body and workout within the appropriate time windows is a bit more complicated.

Looks like a good book. Are you going to buy it? If you do could I take a look at it?
