The Nitto is a softer tire with a 280 UTQG where the Continental has a 340 UTQG. So if traction is a concern the Nitto will more likely work better.

i disagree, and do so rather strongly. I have had both tires, and the contis were a revelation. they have FAR more grip than anything at that treadwear has any right to, but were also nearly silent, and good in the rain. Ive used lots of tires, but i may NEVER use anything else as a street tire, ever. Best tires ive ever bought, and its not even close.

Nitto Neo Gens, best bang for your buck. Those, the Hankook V12s (cheap too), or BFG KDWS (tear drop ones) if you want to spend the money. I had the BFGs and Neo Gens on my old 05 GTO and both were good, even in heavy canyon runs through GMR.

Disagree with those advocating the neo gens. As I said, ive had them both, so im speaking first hand here. The contis, in my opinion, outperformed the neo gens in every single way, and were a fantastic tire. Just my .02

I've never run either, I was just going off the UTQG rating. I've run a bunch of different tires on the Cobra though (currently runnning Nitto NT555) and the best tire so far has been the Nitto NT01. It's the only tire I've run that hasn't spun in second gear at full throttle. Well besides the M/T ET Street slick that I use when I drag race.

I love my NT05's. They have better street manners then my R6's did. But i dont have fears of dieing with the NT05's plus they were pretty affordable.

Ron, did you get my text about the tires?
