This is a deal that blew up. The sellers, who are clinically insane as far as I can tell, think our deposit belongs to them. So our ENTIRE down payment along with deposit, >$100k is now frozen in escrow. I'm not worried about losing anything, they're just grabbing at straws and hoping will cough up dough to get the bulk of our money out of escrow, but they suck a dick and die in a fire. The process of forcing their hand just takes a little while. . . .
