Default Longitudinally mounted engines bolted directly to the transaxle.

Can anyone think of any cars with longitudinally mounted engines bolted directly to the transaxle?

The only car that I can think of is the Dodge Intrepid drivetrain. A 3.5L that makes only around 220hp. I'd prefer an engine with more hp and more importantly a transaxle with limited slip.

I'm pretty sure that you'd be able to find one in a Porsche, but I'm not sure which Porsche.

Virtually every mid engine exotic. The Factory Five GTM mates an LSx directly to a Porsche transaxle.

Hmmm... do you know if different final drive ratios are available for the Porsche transaxle?

I imagine there must be a wide array. They're the same ones used in Porsche Cup cars, etc., so they can be set with lots of different arrangements. If you're more than just vaguely interested let me know. I know a full-tilt Porsche guy I can ask for possibilities, price ranges, and sources. What application are you thinking for?
